As Lloyd’s List Intelligence (LLI) continues to expand its global commercial footprint and accelerate growth across the Asia-Pacific region, the business has appointed Sidney Leung as Head of APAC.
Sidney brings over a decade of experience in data, analytics and maritime intelligence, having held senior commercial leadership roles at Similarweb, S&P Global, IHS Markit, Oxford Economics and ICIS. Across these organisations, he has led regional sales teams, scaled multi-market commercial operations, and supported global customers across shipping, logistics, financial services and government.
In his new role, Sidney will lead LLI’s APAC sales organisation, driving regional go-to-market strategy and strengthening customer engagement across key markets including Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia. He will work closely with LLI's global leadership team to expand the company's presence and deliver greater value to customers across the region.
APAC remains a critical growth market for Lloyd’s List Intelligence as global trade flows evolve amid increasing geopolitical complexity, regulatory scrutiny and supply chain disruption. Demand for trusted data and actionable maritime intelligence continues to grow, and LLI is investing in regional leadership and capabilities to support customers navigating this rapidly changing environment.
Born in Hong Kong and having received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Sidney has lived and worked across Singapore, Tokyo and Europe, bringing a strong international perspective and deep understanding of APAC markets.

レオン氏は、データ・アナリティクスおよび海事インテリジェンス分野において10年以上にわたる経験を持ち、Similarweb、S&P Global、IHS Markit、Oxford Economics、ICISなどで営業部門の要職を歴任してまいりました。これまでに、地域営業チームの統率、複数市場にまたがる事業運営の拡大、海運・物流・金融・公共分野におけるグローバル顧客への支援など、幅広い実績を積み重ねています。
今回の就任により、レオン氏はLLIのAPAC営業組織を率い、地域における事業戦略の推進と、日本、韓国、東南アジアをはじめとする主要市場でのお客様との関係強化に取り組んでまいります。グローバル経営陣とも緊密に連携しながら、地域でのプレゼンス拡大と、お客様により高い価値をお届けすることを目指します。
地政学的リスクの高まり、規制環境の変化、サプライチェーンの混乱など、世界の貿易を取り巻く環境が大きく変化するなか、APAC地域はLLIにとって引き続き重要な成長市場と位置づけられています。信頼性の高いデータと実践的な海事インテリジェンスへのニーズが高まるなか、LLIではこうした環境変化に対応するお客様を支えるべく、地域体制の強化と機能拡充への投資を進めています。
香港出身のレオン氏は、立命館アジア太平洋大学（APU）にて経営学士号を取得。シンガポール、東京、欧州での就業経験を通じて、グローバルな視点とAPAC市場への深い理解を培ってきました。
