The Apex (Analysis of Petroleum Exports) database is a dynamic, user friendly system that’s updated twice weekly. It contains port specific accounts of all crude laden voyages in tankers over 10,000 dwt, as well as all product laden voyages in tanker over 60,000 dwt.

Apex is the only reliable and impartial way to monitor petroleum and tanker trade as it takes place. Our data comes from a variety of independent sources, including a worldwide network of Lloyd’s Agents, port authorities, ship owners, classification societies, brokers and oil industry sources. Lloyd’s List Intelligence’s globally deployed network of AIS (Automatic Identification System) receivers gives our analysts the ability to monitor tanker movements both in port and at sea, in real time.
